Adult Incontinence
Incontinence is the involuntary release of urine through the bladder. Many people suffer silently
from incontinence . The estimated number is around 13 million people in the United States.
There are various types of incontinence:

Types Of Adult Incontinence:

Stress Incontinence - The sudden loss of urine during normal daily activity like laughing,
coughing or sneezing. Stress incontinence is the most common type of incontinence, and
women seem to out number men in the number of reported cases by 60%.

Urge Incontinence - The strong urge to urinate followed by the loss of urine. The common
cause of urge incontinence is an overactive bladder.

Mixed Incontinence - Mixed Incontinence is the combination of stress and urge incontinence.

Over Flow Incontinence - Over Flow incontinence occurs from the bladder never fully emptying
after urination. Many people who suffer from over flow incontinence complain of constant
dribbling and passing small amounts of urine.

Functional Incontinence - People who suffer from functional incontinence are incapable of
communicating their need to urinate, or they suffer a physical disability that physically prevents
them from caring for their bathroom needs.
